Exciting Changes Coming to Oasis City Center
Oasis City Center opened its doors in 2018 and has since ignited hope and met the needs of thousands of families living in our community. Whether the need was tailored to health and wellness, food insecurity, or after-school support, we have worked tirelessly to not only meet these needs but adapt as we see new ones arise.
To continue to best serve our partners, students, and families and add value to their lives, we are reinvesting in our facility by embarking on a significant renovation project. This project will include:
The transformation of our indoor court. For years, the court has posed challenges, especially concerning the safety of the families we serve. We are excited to renovate the space and open a state-of-the-art theatre that will house plays, productions, community events, and worship services.
The sunsetting of our fitness program to reimagine our facility, allowing the ability to provide greater depths of personal development for those who engage with Oasis. The removal of all fitness equipment will begin in April.
The completion of an outdoor space that will be available for youth activities and will house a garden to help educate youth on how to grow their own food.
The creation of new classroom spaces for more year-round activities to allow for ongoing innovation and lifelong growth.
Oasis City Center has always been the community outreach center for Oasis Church, positioned to be a place of refuge and relief in an otherwise hectic environment. This renovation does not change our mission, it will only enhance how we provide support to families like yours on a grander scale. To minimize the impact on our partners, these transformations will be rolled out as follows:
Friday, March 1, 2024 – The indoor court and gaming area will close.
Monday, April 1, 2024 – The fitness center will close as it undergoes its transformation.
What does this mean for you, your family, and your partnership?
Since reopening after the pandemic, we shared that your participation in the City Center was never a membership, but rather a partnership. And that partnership has been essential in helping us provide a safe space for students to engage after school while providing groceries and tangible support to families struggling to make ends meet. The very work you have supported all along will remain in operation during construction, and we humbly ask you to continue this partnership. Additionally,
Individuals with a recurring fitness partnership will notice your facility usage donation end on March 31st. There will be no withdraw from your account unless you wish to continue making a monthly donation which will be 100% tax deductible.
All month-to-month fitness partnerships without a recurring payment method on file will end on March 31st.
The facility will no longer be open for fitness activities starting on Monday, April 1st.
How can you stay engaged during the facility renovation?
All partners, adults and students, are invited to volunteer with Oasis Cares as we tackle the food insecurity challenges our community faces.
